Create No Matter What is inspired by some thoughts and emotions while going through the CONVID-19 crisis. As a small business owner of a photography and videography company that has had gigs canceled and postponements, it has been hard to wrap my mind around what to do next.
For the most part, I have been an artist that needs an assignment to get creative work done. I’ve been that way since high school. Looking at my backlog of editing, I should be done with the edits in a week or two. That said, I won’t have any assignments coming up that keep me busy.
I’ve seen the concern from other artists and creatives out there with similar concerns. As I was scrolling and reading through some of the posts, the saying, “Create no matter what,” was spoken in my thoughts.
I also struggle with if I should put effort into creating passion projects, expressing myself through my mediums, and if my work is good enough. I have no problem working on someone else’s messages and passions, but honestly have a hard time opening up and being vulnerable.
There is so much bundled up inside that in some way I will have to let it out. Even if it’s a little at a time. So that’s where I want to encourage others and myself to #createnomatterwhat. Create regardless of your circumstances. I am going to work on creating videos and content that expresses things I am going through.
With full transparency, this idea is knocking out two birds with one stone, it is encouragement and it is also a way to make a stream of revenue. Being that my small business has taken a hit, this is a way to support local and an artist.
