From a tech reviewer to owning a photography and videography company.

If you were to ask me 8 years ago if I would be doing photography and videography as a profession today, I would probably shrug it off knowing that was way out of my league. But here I am and I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Starting a YouTube channel came from being the type of person who liked to look up reviews before buying something. I got to a point where I thought to myself that I could do this reviewer thing and I wanted to help fill a need in the internet space. I started with smartphone-related content and that’s what has done well since the beginning of the channel.

Fast forward a little a few years later, a photographer friend of mine mentioned I should try to make wedding videos. There were a couple of friends who were getting married around that same time and it worked out to film their wedding.

I did that wedding for free to get one under my belt and the rest is history.

Wedding Styled Shoot, a short film created by Joshua Bane. This was my first time being part of a styled shoot and loved every moment of it. It was truly a blessing to be part of this shoot. Kim and Courtney did an amazing job putting this together. The vendors, wow, such amazing talent. I can't wait to be part of more shoot like this to be able to present ideas and styles to my clients. This was a dream team effort! New things I tried for this video: - Poem reading - Video picture profile - Handheld the camera more than I normally do Poem used for audio: 'Les Miserables' by Victor Hugo https://www.hitched.com.au/wedding-planning/readings/extract-from-les-miserables_472.htm Follow the Wiregrass Wedding Collective Founding Members: Kimberly Smith Events Wedding Planning Courtney Woodham Photography Joshua Bane - Dothan, Al Videographer Photographer This styled shoot would not have been possible without the investment from the following vendors: Venue | The Holman House Models | Jaycee Devin Cordle & Hunter Cordle Florist Designer | Bayne Taylor @bayne_taylor Florist Supplier | The Brundidge Florist Hair | Karen Sanders at Salon 126 Makeup | Jenna Judah Strickland @strickleybeautiful_jjs Jewelry + Headpiece + Veil | EDEN LUXE Bridal Dress + Shoes | Formally Yours Groom's Attire | Barefield's Downtown Ozark

I’ve grown from just doing weddings to working with businesses and organizations. This year we rebranded the company from Joshua Bane to Evergreen Creative Company. There’s a whole blog post talking about the thoughts behind the rebrand.

Rebranding has allowed my name to be freed up to be used in a way that a dream of, which is to travel and as an online influencer for other photographers and videographers. This is where the Joshua Bane brand will be heading.

In the next few weeks, I will be working hard on presenting content from my Montana trip, BTS of weddings, and BTS of event coverage. I’m excited about this direction!
